Professional Writing & Editorial Services
Seasoned writer and editorial professional with more than three decades of experience. Feature writing, ghostwriting, memoir and book projects, brand copy, business documents, technical writing, podcast and video scripting, and full editorial services.
Along the way I’ve interviewed a cat, stopped traffic to photograph a CMA artist in the street, run down Piedmont Ave. delivering press kits, and held the hand of a 101-year-old woman while having the sacred privilege of recording her life story.
The work gets done. Fast. Reliable. No fluff.

About
"I write because I can't not. I freelance because the stories worth telling cannot tell themselves."
In more than thirty years of writing, I've captured the stories of entrepreneurs, visionaries, and survivors of all kinds—from a Purple Heart recipient to a CMA Award–winning singer-songwriter, and even an inspiring feline soul named George. George once climbed into a moving truck that, unknown to him, was bound a thousand miles west. A year later, he returned home—after what must have been a very long walk. His human was overjoyed. George, too, had a few things to say.
Not every story unfolds as planned. Once, while writing a feature, the photographer didn't show up for the cover shoot. With sundown closing in, I grabbed my phone and captured the image myself—lying flat on my back in the middle of a town-square intersection, shooting past the rear of a vintage Mustang while the evening sun poured down from an old steeple onto the scene. Traffic stopped. The photo landed the cover.

On the Record
Technically rigorous, calibrated for an astute medical audience, and remarkably consistent with my own voice. She transformed complex procedural discussions into polished, publication-ready manuscripts — accommodating my schedule, even after hours. Exceptional service, highest caliber work.

Sheri delivered a masterful edit of Hold Up the Sky, strengthening structure and clarity while preserving its historical depth. She reduced the manuscript to meet a publisher's 60,000-word requirement and conducted interviews with descendants of key figures to enrich the narrative. I was thrilled.
Virginia Edwards
Non-Fiction Author & Historian · Book Editing & Manuscript Development
Sheri built a weekly editorial concept around a fictional ghost narrator in a historic luxury apartment building. Sharp, cohesive, and occasionally mischievous — it evolved from a blog into a recurring print and digital column. Her creativity, consistency, and punctuality made it a true standout.

On AI & My Work
I started writing professionally in 1992. The most advanced computer science course available was how to write Basic. I have watched every wave of technology reshape this industry — and I have never once stood on the shore waiting to see if it was safe to swim.
My approach to AI is the same as my approach to everything: walk straight into it, eyes wide open. Become a student of it. Make it your best friend. Put it to work for you.
What AI does not do — and cannot do — is replace 34 years of editorial instinct, source relationships, voice matching, and the ability to recognize when a story is true. That part is still entirely human. That part is still entirely me.
Research acceleration, structural outlines, first-pass transcription, SEO analysis, formatting — the mechanical work that used to eat hours.
Voice, judgment, story, nuance, interviews, sourcing, accuracy, editing, and every word that goes out under your name. Always.
Faster turnaround. Sharper research. Same quality. No compromise on craft — ever.
