I started writing professionally in 1992. The most advanced computer science course available at my university was how to write Basic. If you don't know what that is, you're young — and that's fine. The point is: I have watched every wave of technology reshape this industry. Every single one. And I have never once stood on the shore waiting to see if it was safe to swim.
So when AI arrived — loudly, messily, controversially — I did what I always do. I walked straight into it. Eyes wide open.
